Since I'm too lazy to block this sweater and take good pictures. (I'm instead wearing it all around town) Here's a less than stellar picture of my grayscale Sunrise Cardigan.

This was a total shot in the dark and I'm pretty pleased with it. I'm a sucker for stripes that turn corners, what can I say.

I finished my current socks tonight, more noro goodness. Just for giggles, I let this pair turn out identical. The amazing thing is that this yarn made a pair of large women's socks with enough yarn left over for another small project. Crazy.

I have another day or two of knitting on my trillium mitts and a quick gift project on the needles and that's it!

New gauntlets for the hubby and a shawl are up next.

Mittens and Zombies

I finished my sunrise circle jacket and am back in love with my mittens, zooming through the second mitten this week. I'll post a pic of the jacket after I've blocked it properly.

In other news, zombies are terrorizing the fiber world again. Word has it that Mamma Monkey, the fabulous sock designer who passed away last year.... not so much deceased.

The news is being heavily censored on Ravelry today. I understand where the mods are coming from, but at the same time it makes my stomach a little queasy. I hope there will some kind of official acknowledgment once they talk to their lawyers.

As someone who bought one of her patterns (Kaylee) with the understanding that the funds were being donated to charity, I'd really like to see this whole thing see the light of day.
