I'm still taking a break from my handspun sweater. This time to make up adorable baby items for a friends charity auction. I took this as an opportunity to knit my very first baby surprise jacket.
What a fun and quick knit! It definitely stood up to all the hype. I couldn't wait to get far enough along to fold it into shape (ta da!)
This took about 3 1/2 skeins of some Artyarn Supermerino that had been marinating in the stash for quite a while.
The buttons are from Grandma's collection. (I had so much fun rummaging through them, They're now out of their two large jars and sorted by color)
I'm following up with another ridiculously popular knit, the Saartje baby booties I just find this to be the cutest bootie evah, it makes my blood sugar rise to look at it. For these I'm using some pretty superwash sock yarn, also from stash, I *think* it might be fleece artist. I'm going to use the remaining yarn to make a matching hat.
Then it will be back to my sweater and time to think about holiday knitting, eep!
